Network Security Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Security Engineer to join the team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust network security solutions to protect data and systems from cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.
• Monitor network traffic for security events and incidents, utilising security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
• Respond to security incidents, conduct forensic analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Develop and maintain incident response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure preparedness.
• Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security risks.
• Manage and maintain security infrastructure, including updates, patches, and configurations.
• Collaborate with network and system administrators to ensure security measures are integrated into all network and system designs. Maintain comprehensive documentation of security configurations, incident response activities, and audit findings.
• Prepare and present security reports to management and clients.
• Provide security training and awareness programs to employees and clients.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Network Security Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of network security protocols, technologies, and tools.
• Proficiency with firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, SIEM, and endpoint security solutions.
• Experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools (e.g., Nessus, Metasploit).
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
