Enterprise Cloud Architect

We are recruiting for an experienced Cloud Architect to join an established Atlanta based enterprise. This candidate will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining cloud solutions that meet the needs of the firm. Reporting Directly into the Infrastructure Director, this is a pivotal role within the organization at a time of continued technological transformation and modernization.
The role:
- Create, deploy, and sustain cloud-based solutions tailored.
- Collaborate with wider technical function to define project needs, ensuring the effective implementation of innovative solutions.
- Formulate and enforce cloud infrastructure policies, procedures, and standards that prioritize security, reliability, and scalability.
- Engage with external vendors to oversee cloud infrastructure, covering monitoring, upkeep, and issue resolution.
- Assess and suggest new cloud technologies and services that align with the business goals of Emory Healthcare.
- Generate and update documentation pertaining to the design, configuration, and operation of cloud infrastructure.
- Perform regular security assessments and audits to guarantee compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide guidance and assistance to fellow IT personnel regarding cloud-related concerns.
- Contribute to the formulation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
The requirements:
- Extensive understanding and experience of cloud technologies, namely Azure but ideally also AWS and GCP.
- Experience with Infrastructure as code and automation.
- Knowledge of HIPAA, PCI-DSS and GDPR.
- Project Management experience
